What You Can Do to Help Save Robert Roberson
Dear Supporters,
Robert Roberson is an innocent father with Autism who has spent over 20 years on death row in Texas for a crime that never occurred. After Texas legislators stopped his execution at the 11th hour last year, Texas is now seeking to execute him again in just 16 days. Please help us save Robert’s life. Here is what you can do now:
1. Attend the rally in Austin this Saturday. If you live in Austin, please join us on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00 p.m. on the south steps of the Texas Capitol building, 1100 Congress Ave., to rally for Robert’s life. Your presence will show Texas that Robert’s life matters and that we won’t accept the execution of an innocent man. You can find out more and RSVP at this link.
2. Call the Governor. Your voice matters. Call Governor Abbott at 737-277-6778 and urge him to stop Robert’s execution.
3. Share Robert’s story. Use this social media toolkit to share Robert’s story across all of your social media channels and inspire others to act.

In 2002, Robert’s two-year old, chronically ill daughter, Nikki, was sick with a high fever and suffered a short fall from bed. Hospital staff did not know Robert had autism and judged his response to his daughter’s grave condition as lacking emotion. Robert was prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to death for Nikki’s death. The overwhelming medical and scientific evidence now shows that Nikki died of accidental and natural causes. (More details on the case are available from the Innocence Project.)
Robert’s innocence case has gained widespread support from exonerees, Autism experts, eminent scientists, doctors, faith leaders, innocence groups, best-selling novelist John Grisham, and the lead detective who testified for the prosecution, who now believes he contributed to an innocent person being sent to death row.
