For those of you who can’t make it in person, we will continue to follow up about how you can engage with the death penalty and second chances in Texas!
On Monday, March 3rd, 2025, our Director of Special Projects Estelle Hebron-Jones will join renowned Austin filmmaker Richard Linklater and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maurice Chammah at the LBJ Library’s Future Forum. They will have a rich discussion about the death penalty’s widespread impacts on communities and families and its deep cultural roots in the Texas criminal justice system. On Friday, March 7th, Texas Defender Service will be joined by our partners, the Lioness Justice Impacted Women’s Alliance, Latino Justice, the Texas Civil Rights Project, and the Texas Prisons Alliance, at the Texas Capitol for Parole Justice Advocacy Day. Together, we will demand real pathways to freedom and second chances!
